I have compiled a list of my top 10 2016 Highlights! Everything from traveling, to getting a kitten. Every year gets longer and longer so its important for us to take time and reflect on the past so that we can grow as we move forward!
Y’all! I got the amazing opportunity to visit the FBI headquarters building in Washington DC this past summer. Words cannot describe the excitement I felt, but I also felt so humbled walking through the building and seeing the memorabilia they had posted. One of my best 2016 Highlights by far!
One of my best friends and I decided to take an impromptu road trip up to Niagara falls this year. We did it in one day and all-in-all it was about a 12.5 hour drive! It was an utterly exhausting day, but Lord is the falls beautiful!
This one really surprised me, it was just supposed to be a stopping off point and it turned into one of my favorite locations in Switzerland! This small town has everything you could imagine in a Swiss town, from picturesque Alps, waterfalls, lush greenery and small churches. I cannot recommend this town enough! Plus, they have some AMAZING pancakes too!
I just had a one day trip to Lucerne, but it was absolutely beautiful. They have a beautiful bridge (pictured below), plus the large lake that is great to just wander around. They also had some awesome German food that you can eat lakeside!
OMG! I still can’t believe I have been to Paris. It felt so surreal the entire trip, and I could not be more grateful to be able to check this off of my bucket list. There were so many great things about this trip I don’t even know which ones to mention! I have to say that the macarons from Ladurée were pure heaven! One of my favorite places in Paris was actually a surprise to me! We went up to see the Sacré-Cœur basilica, and ended up finding the best overlook I could have imagined, especially for the sunset!
London was crazy busy while we were there, but it was still a great trip! We spent about 6 days there and still didn’t get to explore everything I wanted. A couple of my best memories were riding the London Eye and wandering around Hyde Park. We also got to go see Kings Cross and see all of the Harry Potter memorabilia. There is so much to see in London and I will definitely need another trip back to explore more!
I can’t lie, I only wanted to go to Brighton because of my favorite YouTubers! I am so glad I did though because it may be my favorite trip of the entire year! I fell completely in love with Brighton. The beach is beautiful and it has some great shops! One shop that we loved was called ChoccyWoccyDoodah, it was the cutest chocolate shop, such a nice stop in! I also had the opportunity to experience a traditional afternoon tea with my mom while we were there, it was so stinking cute!
I have always wanted to go to Barcelona to see all of the amazing architecture, and it did not disappoint! I have to say though, I walked so much on this trip I spent an entire day sleeping in my hostel room, I was so tired! Everything is so spread out I highly recommend taking a bus tour. I really enjoyed this trip and loved just wandering around the beach areas and sipping on some sangria!
This year I got a new kitten (Ace) and I absolutely love him! I now have two cats and they love playing together, and fighting over the food bowl.
Gilmore Girls Galore!
This has been an amazing year for Gilmore Girls fans everywhere! They all came to Netflix, and then they released the revival of A Year In The Life, and also all of the pop-up Luke’s Diner’s! I am proud to say I participated in all of those things! Plus, I was inspired by the show in picking Ace’s name out!
