These top 8 apps for school will set you up for an incredibly successful academic year, no matter your level. Which ones will you utilize?
Your School’s App
Most universities have an app for their students. Some things that may be included are: access to your course schedule, your grades, a map of campus and a campus directory. This is SO helpful to everyone, no matter the class level.
This is my personal favorite app that I always have to use for my classes. It allows you to take notes for all of your classes and seamlessly syncs it to your phone. If you have free time you can review your notes straight from your phone, no computer necessary! You can also record lectures with this app which is amazing if your professor talks too fast and you miss something!
This is a great website to utilize when you’re studying, but the app is even better! You can make your own flashcards for any/all of your classes and it will even quiz you on them! It is so easy to quickly study on the go with your phone, it even categorizes them into ones you know well and ones you need to work on more.
Now, this isn’t necessarily for your classes. You also don’t need an actual Fitbit wrist tracker to use this app, you can do mostly everything without one! Fitness is one of the hardest things to keep up with in college, but it’s also one of the most important. Not only does it allow you stress relief, it has also been shown to increase your concentration. Keeping track of your steps or workouts is a motivating way to keep up with your fitness goals.
Take A Break
This app has been a life saver for me! The app allows you to meditate for a period of either 7 minutes or 13 minutes. You can also choose the background sound you want to meditate to: ocean, rain, stream or music. A soothing voice walks you through the meditation part in the beginning with some breathing exercises and then you listen to the background sound of your choosing.
Your Bank App
This is a MUST while you’re in college. You are now officially broke for your coming future, which means it is vital that you be able to see how much you can withdraw before you are in over drafting territory! Plus, most of them allow you to pay bills directly from them and deposit checks so that you have access to it immediately.
I love Kindle so much, and love it even more that I can access it from my phone! Not only does this allow you to have access to all of your textbooks at the touch of a button, it’s also usually cheaper than buying actual paper books. Plus, you will most likely have breaks between classes and this app allows you to have any book you want to read without having to carry any around.
Pandora is great for many situations, from studying to parties. Its great to just pick a playlist and let it do it’s thing if you’re having a party. Personally, I love using a classical music playlist while I study.
