Weekends are a perfect time to take an impromptu trip! I spent a weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, come see what all I got to explore and plan your next trip.
What To Do-
This building is so beautiful! I wasn’t able to go inside of it but just seeing the outside is enough. It stands out like a sore thumb in downtown Nashville and I couldn’t be more thankful for it! Such a nice stop to make on your trip.
Broadway is the quintessential stop on your trip to Nashville. This has all of the famous country bars and restaurants, it is a great stop either night or day (I recommend doing both!).
Printers Alley is adorable! It has some very cute bars and restaurants, as well as some cool graffiti on the walls.
Johnny Cash Museum
I love Johnny Cash, so this was a no brainer for me! If you feel the same I highly recommend a look see in here! It was about $18 dollars when I visited.
This is a great place to visit, it is a beautiful park and the Parthenon is so gorgeous! It is located right across the street from Vanderbilt’s campus. You should also consider visiting Vanderbilt’s campus, it is an arboretum and it’s breathe taking.
This is about a 20 minute drive from Nashville and it was absolutely worth it! It was very misty while I was there, but it made the lake so quiet and peaceful. Absolutely beautiful!
Places To Eat-
This place was so good! I went for breakfast and I highly recommend going early, as you can see from the first picture they get a pretty long line very quickly. Great food with a very cute atmosphere (I got the egg platter).
This is a Nashville staple and is world famous! The cafe itself is so cool, it has almost a “campus” feel. It includes the Cafe, a motel, a smokehouse, and a gift shop all in different buildings. Their biscuits were pure heaven, the chicken was so crispy and the mashed potatoes and cream corn were perfect. I had a peanut butter pie for dessert and it was the perfect ending to an amazing meal! I will tell you that you need to plan on leaving with the biggest food baby you have ever experienced!
Three Brothers Coffee
This coffee shop is located near Vanderbilt’s campus and is so cool! The inside has so much seating, even some couches in a little nook as well as a few swing seats. The outside includes this cool narrow walkway pictured above. I got a Matcha Latte and it was great!
Five Daughters Bakery
This place was SO good!!! They have some amazing donuts, and they even have vegan and gluten free options. I got a strawberry vegan donut and I swear it tasted exactly the same as a normal one! Two thumbs up!
This isn’t actually a Nashville bakery, but the cupcakes are so good I had to include it! I have been a fan of Sprinkles for many years now and could not recommend them enough! Plus, there’s a cupcake ATM,how could it get any better than that!?
The Best Places For An Instagram post
These are located all over Nashville, this one in particular I found right by Biscuit Love in the Gulch. The Gulch is a great neighborhood to explore if you have time!
I love this mural, especially the distressed look it has. I found this on Broadway right before you reach the riverfront park.
There are multiple locations of the “I believe in Nashville” signs, this one is located right by Draper James.
This is my favorite picture spot in Nashville!! It is the side wall of Draper James, which is actually Reese Witherspoon’s shop! The colors are so freaking adorable! The store itself sells some freakishly adorable things as well, definitely a must see!
